We have a very busy Autumn Term planned. The topic that we are covering is 'The Blitz'. Pupils will have the opportunity to learn about what life was like for child in the 1940's. As part of the end of WW I centenary year we will be visiting the Theatre to watch 'White Feather' by Theatr na nÓg mixes the harsh realities of warfare with moments of magic, incorporating the words of the First World War poets amongst others with beguiling Welsh folk music to tell a devastating tale of family, love and loss.
As part of our transition work with our local comprehensives, pupils will have opportunity to attend a number classroom and sporting activities to prepare them for their move to secondary school.
Our science topic will be looking at the science of feeding in sharks (three states of matter and diffusion).
In preparation for the new curriculum our entrepreneurial project will be to work in conjunction with ‘The Wave’ # Don’t dance alone, to plan, organise and hold a Tea Party event in the school. We will invite elderly members of the community to attend for free, the pupils will be sourcing funding and sponsorship for the event from local and national businesses.
