This year we have three teachers in Year 3/4. They are Mr Jones, Miss Humphreys and Mr Fisher. The classes are supported by our wonderful teaching assistants Miss Rabaiotti, Mrs Knuszka, Mrs Powe and Miss Tobin. Led by the pupils, the three classes work closely together to ensure all children have exciting, engaging opportunities for learning.
The whole school are using an object as a stimulus for our learning. The object that was revealed in assembly was a light bulb. We have been busy planning what exciting things we can learn in class linked to this. See what ideas we came up with below!
We went on a really exciting trip to the "The Big Pit" to learn more about the Victorians. The children were hooked when they had special visitors during the first week of the topic! - Mr Barnardo (the rich gentleman), Miss Miller (the strict teacher), Tommy (the chimney sweep) and Mrs Potts (the scullery maid).

For this term's homework and to find out what we will be getting up to, please see the grids below.
Y3/4 Homework Club is every Thursday from 3:20 - 4:20. Homework Club allows the pupils to access the tools/materials/equipment required in order to complete their homework, such as computers or the internet.
If your child would like to attend Homework Club then please see your child's class teacher for a consent form.
We are using Hwb on a daily basis in school. Hwb allows the pupils to safely research topics, create databases, spreadsheets, surveys and much much more! Your child is able to access Hwb at home; they may like to present their homework on Hwb, play J2Blast or show you what they have been getting up to in school. If you need any support in helping your child access Hwb at home then please come and see your child's class teacher. We will be more than willing to help.
If there is anything you would like to see on our website, please let us know!
