Tricky Words - Phase 5
As well as learning sounds, the children also have to learn tricky words in each phase. Tricky words are words that cannot be easily sounded out (segmented) or blended. They are usually words that we use everyday that are tricky to read or write.
Here are the tricky words that the children should learn whilst working on Phase 5 phonics.
oh, their, people, Mr, Mrs, looked, called, asked, could
