Late/Absence Procedures

Attendance
Attendance  is something that we want to encourage parents and children to value highly in their priorities.
Thanks to the efforts of the children, parents and the attendance team, we achieved 93.4% attendance last year. Although this wasn't quite as high as the previous year we are pleased that more children had 100% attendance. Pupils were able to enjoy a lovely end of year trip to Margam Park as a reward for the great attitude they have in coming to school to learn and being ready to achieve.
Please remember children who arrive after 9.30 am cannot be included in our attendance figures even if they are in school every day.
Letters and leaflets have been sent to parents and carers to explain the importance of good attendance and to remind everyone that in certain circumstances a fixed penalty notice can be issued by the school. If your child is in school we can help them learn and achieve.
Mr Day, our attendance project worker, and Mrs Powell in the school office are available to support and help parents and children in getting to school. Please ask at the office if you would like help or advice. For more details please see our Attendance Matters leaflet below.
