Dear Parents and Carers,
The local authority is now providing food parcels for children who would usually receive free school meals (FSM). Last week, our first week of this new system, we tried a mixture of collections from school and delivery to family homes. This week we have decided to deliver all the parcels to your homes because we feel this is a safer way of getting the food to you and your children.
We will do our very best to deliver the food parcels to you between 12 and 2 pm each Monday. Please make sure you are at home to receive the food parcels or let us know if you don’t want us to deliver to your home.
The staff who are delivering your food parcel today have all volunteered to do this job because they care about your children. Please help them to deliver your child’s parcel safely by following these guidelines:
It is very important to let us know before we deliver your parcels if a family member in your house has a confirmed case of Covid 19.
We have also added a few extra food items in a separate bag. We know that for some of you it is very tricky to get to the shops and having children at home all day soon empties the food cupboards in all our homes. We wanted to give you a little extra to help. These items are not from the local authority but have been kindly donated by people in our community, by school staff and by local groups and businesses.
As well as your food parcels this week you will receive a craft pack and some resources for your children to use when they are learning at home. These have been kindly donated to the school from local community groups and businesses.
We really hope you are all still keeping yourselves safe, staying home and looking after each other. We miss you all and look forward to the time when we can all be back together again.
Regards
Mrs Hope
